No. Your file is hashed entirely in your browser. Only the 64-character fingerprint and the metadata you enter are sent — the document itself never leaves your device, so it stays completely private.

How does someone verify a document I notarized?

Send them the file and the verify link. They drop the file on the Verify page and RILDocs confirms whether it matches the notarized record — no account, no sign-up, nothing uploaded.

Is this a legal patent or copyright filing?

No. RILDocs proves a document's existence, integrity, timestamp and stated issuer — strong, court-usable evidence — but it does not by itself grant patent, trademark or copyright rights and does not replace an official government registry filing.

Can I use this with a traditional notary?

Yes — they complement each other. A notary verifies who signed (identity, government-recognized); RILDocs proves the exact sealed document is unaltered and existed by a certain date. Can I hold my proof in a crypto wallet?

Optionally, yes. After notarizing, you can mint your proof as an NFT to your own wallet on XDC — we cover the gas. It carries only the document's fingerprint and timestamp, never the file or its name, so nothing private is exposed. You choose whether it's transferable or locked to you (soulbound). It's a portable proof token, not legal title to the document.
